On 12.12.12 The Daily Mail wrote about neurological evidence that children who were neglected or abused had a significant difference in their brain development.

“The child with the larger and more fully developed brain was looked after by its mother – she was constantly responsive to her baby, reported The Sunday Telegraph.” The child with the shrunken brain due to neglect and abuse was reported as more like to be involved with drugs and crime later on in life.

Those who have taken Level II will understand just how significant this report is. One of the aspects of Quantum Touch Level II involves developing the ability to work with the heart and deepen our connection to Love. This topic is becoming more widely researched and science is beginning to produce concrete evidence to show the effect that the emotional heart has on our physical and emotional health. This new research about children is fascinating and promising from two perspectives; working with those that were not given the love they needed when they were infants and helping to heal those memories AND consequently develop brain function. This is incredibly exciting from a therapeutic perspective and could be positively life changing for many . The second aspect of this relates to elderly care. Just as children need love so do the elderly many of whom are solely dependent on care workers. Sadly the increasing reports of abuse in the care system and a general lack of heart based elderly care would lead one to conclude (even without the research) that as the heart is starved so is the brain.

In Level II we learn to work with the brain and strengthen its functions. Reading the newspaper article was yet another affirmation of just how powerful what we are doing in these workshops is. I have been privileged to have some amazingly gifted Carers on my workshops who integrate Quantum Touch principles and techniques into their jobs. I look forward to a time when this is standardised within the care sector and welcome new research to validate the importance of it.

I believe there will be more and more science that affirms what we are doing so easily with Quantum Touch. For those interested in working with brain function and development Quantum Touch Level II is a must!
